Vanir is very quiet most of the time and often does not use his words. Instead, he will gesture or nod in response if he's talking to someone he's unfamiliar with. He'll only really start using his voice if he's close to someone.
Since he was taught to keep himself hidden, he isn't very honest and hides a lot of his troubles away to deal with alone. He refuses to "burden" anyone with his issues.
Story
Vanir was born with a special, yet troublesome mutation that caused his magic power to be much more larger than the average Azadian. This resulted in disaster once his magic powers began to bloom at the young age of 4, when a tantrum of sorts resulted in his home village being destroyed, and eventually, him being abandoned. He was later adopted by an elderly Lepid, who taught him how to control his powers and keep them in check.
Being abandoned by his family and generally having minimal contact with other humans made Vanir into a massive shut-in, and in the present day, he isn't very outgoing as most other people. He prefers to be alone, or stick with people he's close to.
